Bloom's Taxonomy and CALL

1 comment:

  1. When I started taking introductory courses for planning lessons for our students at school, I did not paid much attention to the real value of Bloom’s Taxonomy. As time passed by, I started to use process verbs whenever I had to come up with a lesson plan for the preparatory courses before my teaching practice last semester. It was not until that time that I realized the importance the real application of Bloom’s Taxonomy has. The six levels, as the lady from the video says, helps our students building bridges for their brains; the way we use process verbs in our instructions can facilitate students’ use of English outside the classroom. On the other hand, me, as a teacher would use CALL as a tool for encouraging students to reach higher levels according to Bloom’s Taxonomy. For instance, students can create a short video where they debate on a specific topic, or they can take part in a forum in order to criticize material related to a certain topic.
