The PPP is a modern tool that could be master easily with little knowledge on computers. It allows people to present information in a wide range of possibilities. According to the reading “Learning with multimedia tools” Presentation software such as Microsoft Power-Point provide the user with word processing, outlining, drawing, graphing, presentation management tools, and the ability to move through the presentation in a branching as well as linear fashion.(p 313) PPPs can be used to provide wonderful warm ups because of their attractiveness and simplicity. Also, one can implement this tools to develop games such as “Who wants to millionaire” which are very interactive.
Power Point Presentations enable the teacher (and the students ) to produce attractive and innovative materials to illustrate and/or the class.The use of PPP to develop learning situations encourages a positive atittude in the student and helps to build a nice environment as cited in chapter 10,page 332 (Learning with Multimedia Tools ) " Multimedia technology can be a catalyst for change, helping teachers to alter their approach to teaching and learning from passive learning to active learning". In my lessons, I ´ve seen how students´ participation and interest increase when I include PPP. Using this tool wisely, one can plan interesting and motivating lessons that capture students´attention towards the subject matter.Chapter 10, page 312 also adds " ... this is a tool that extends the capability of the user to communicate".This becomes possible due to the exposition to visual and oral content that helps to support the communicative learning process, which I could widely see in my classes when students use the language in a greater extent when they are exposed to PPP.Two different examples of the use of PPP are, when studying comparative and superlative forms that they can be illustrated as well as labeled in a PPP, also when developing the topic of goods and services which can be presented using a PPP about the places in town and including maybe a video of a market.
