I agree with the lady of the video in that output is as important as input since it provides chances to use the language in meaningful manners focused on production and reviewing of details. One can address to authentic audiences with the intention of improving not only English skills, but also CALL abilities. For instance, one way to use CALL as a teacher could be Forums like the one I am accessing right now in which many topics could be discussed as part of enhancing the topics seen in the classroom. Furthermore, I believe that real and meaningful English examples could be present to students with the intention of improving their competence and performance by looking at videos on the web that later will be analyzed in the classroom.

It is definitely true, output is just as relevant as input, it shows if what we are teaching is actually being efficient. However, based on my experience both as student and as teacher, many times CALL technologies and devices are only used as input, a way to provide information, but we can also use them to obtain feedback, and therefore production from students. Also, through a PPP, for instance, we can either challenge or encourage learners to answer and share their point of view by asking some questions about the data we present in the class. Furthermore, as presented by Blake (2008) when referring to the rapid change in CALL as well as with technology itself in CALL & Its Evaluation (p. 67), it has been evolving, now learning grammar and morphology is not the main issue, but providing opportunities to develop linguistic competence.
Sorry, this almost the same with a quote. I agree with the lady of the video in that output is as important as input since it provides chances to use the language in meaningful manners focused on production and reviewing of details. One can address to authentic audiences with the intention of improving not only English skills, but also CALL abilities. According to the reading “Learning with Multimedia Tools” these technologies are useful, because these technologies are interesting, interactive, multidimensional, and student controlled, they are ideally suited for educational purposes. (p.308)For instance, one way to use CALL as a teacher could be Forums like the one I am accessing right now in which many topics could be discussed as part of enhancing the topics seen in the classroom. It is important what is stated in the video that output is as important as input, sometimes we do not give such importance to this fact while teaching. Production may represent a powerful way of letting the students know what they really know. Using technology is as useful as the way we use it, because sometimes we use a lot of technology in many ways, but are we using adequately? Creativity plays an important role, in both teacher and students, during the learning process. People may have a wrong idea toward technology, because we normally associate it with acquisition of information, without thinking that it may be for output or for letting the students express their knowledge, some examples of this may be chats or forums in which students may express themselves, without thinking in specific rules… that is why learners should have autonomy to guide their own learning process as Thein (1994) expresses “learners are given ownership of the process of developing solutions to their learning tasks and may with the teacher’s guidance or mentorship, devise their own learning agenda.”
One effective way of learning any subject, in my personal opinion, is by doing something without noticing the process of learning you’re going through. That is the reason why I agree with the statements proposed by the presenter of the video. She highlights the importance of reinforcing the work of the students and value the time there are been exposed to the language without putting too much pressure in the grammar aspects of the language. The main idea with this strategy is to give students quality moments in which they can use their knowledge about the language without been criticized for the way their use the rules of the language. For that matter when I see myself as a teacher, I consider important to keep that in mind because in my opinion, person improves her/his communicative skills by putting into practice her/his knowledge, but how is that person going to practice if she/he feels under pressure all the time. As the lady in the video mentioned, using CALL there are a lot of tools we can take advantage from, one example is the use of video via Youtube students can share information with other Youtube user in order to share information of their own interest and at the same time receive feedback on their work all this by the use of language. Another example is the use of video games as was pointed in the reading of CALl uses we can take “nonacademic” resources in order to achieve an academic goal. With the use of video games (well chose in content to suit students’ levels) students can improve their pronunciation and vocabulary without even notice it.
